Individual therapy: a collaboration

At Wilshire/Valley Therapy Centers, we provide a broad range of one-on-one services.

No two people are alike — and therefore no two problems are alike. Rather than treat psychological difficulties with a cookie-cutter approach, we remain open and flexible.

Sandi Homchick in therapy sessionYou tell us how you need to be treated through what you say, how you say it and through your actions.

The human psyche is a dynamic changing and healing entity. The way in which we treat it should likewise be fresh and in synch with the unique and contemporary culture of the individual.

Rather than treating modern problems with dated solutions, we strive to recognize the progressive influences and factors that have a bearing on each client’s difficulties.

Once our psychotherapists understand your needs, we work collaboratively with you to explore the issues in depth. We’ll formulate a plan of action and make frequent assessments of progress — revising treatment as necessary.

We also provide court-ordered therapy.

The responsibility for lasting change remains with you. We are there to support you along the way.

We believe that psychology — as it is practiced one-on-one, with individuals — is more art than science. Our efforts reflect this belief. We always are learning from our clients and expanding our repertoire of methods and approaches.

If you’re having difficulty and believe that no one can understand your problems, let us help.
